Our radio station is the voice of Jewish Melbourne presenting Jewish culture, music, personalities and performers 24 hours a day on the FM spectrum.
Along with this, there will be news and analysis with a Jewish flavor for all appetites.
It will project the true identity of Jewish Melbourne which is diverse and contains many different ingredients, each crying out for a taste.
It will enable the people of Melbourne to hear the Jewish point of view across an array of different topics, thus giving the Jewish people of Melbourne a voice in the wider community.
Being a vehicle to advocate the only Jewish country in the world (Israel) and giving radio audiences a balanced view of news from Israel, it will strengthen the community and bring the wider Non-Jewish community to a better, more balanced understanding of issues affecting Jews and indeed all of Israel. It will create an awareness, appreciation and understanding of the immense Jewish contribution to Australia and to the world, via entertainment, science, politics, medicine, comedy, psychology, arts, the pursuit of justice and peace currently and over the centuries.
The air time will also be used to promote an understanding of the values, culture and religion of the Jewish People and how these values and beliefs lead the Jewish people to respect all peace loving people of other cultures and faiths.
There are so many other ways this radio station will help the community. First and foremost, it is a not-for profit association that will have sponsors who by helping us grow, will gain much exposure. Besides this, we will be an avenue to raise money for Jewish public events, functions, fundraisers and charities!
It will be amazing to finally have the one place where the Jewish people of Melbourne, with all it’s vibrancy, diversity and history, from an ancient civilization to modern Australia in the 21st century, will have a one united voice.
A place where Jewish people and organizations can share their thoughts, hear Jewish music, Jewish opinion and be brought closer together, inspired, and strengthened.
